Job description
We are looking for a well-trained and highly motivated individual who has excellent finance and accounting skills as well as a desire to get stuck in and get things done. You will have a good grasp of both the financial control and FP&A side of accounting as well as a commercial mindset.
The role requires a Head of Finance who can provide the financial and commercial support to this growing business by thriving on taking ownership and solving problems in a rapidly changing environment.
You will have excellent technical ability to identify and rectify areas of improvement in both financial and operational performance through the analysis and interpretation of our data.
You will also be able to hone in on the real KPIs of the business and be able to communicate this effectively across the business to support our drive for growth and the achievement of our targets but also getting your hands dirty in the day to day operations as needed.

In particular, we are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:
Lead the finance operations and team globally for Singapore, UK, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and new markets in the future as part of the global senior leadership team and reporting to the CEO & co-founder.
P&L and accounting: ownership and optimisation of end-to-end processes (incl. invoice payments, AR, PR etc.) across markets and business units, leveraging internal resources and accountant partners.
Cash flow: ownership and optimisation of end-to-end processes including cash flow planning, forecasting and analysis and ensuring appropriate risk monitoring and alerting controls are active and in place.
Tools & processes: spearhead, own and implement financial processes, tools and system transformation and maximise their automation, harmonisation and digitisation.
Financial modelling: maintain and harmonise the company’s financial model(s) including unit economics in collaboration with internal shareholders like department heads.
Financial reporting: own, provide and optimise financial reporting & reviews, statements to internal stakeholders, board members and investors including analysis of financial performance against benchmarks and highlighting risks, opportunities and insights.
Financial budgeting, planning & control: own the end-to-end processes, detailed including holistic budget process, allocation and control, forecasting, plan v actual reporting and financial / risk control. Including challenging & collecting data and buy-in from non-finance teams on the forecast inputs & KPIs that drive financial outputs.
Financial analysis: support commercial decision-making through unit cost, margin and pricing analyses and recommendations of cost reduction strategies and budget allocations.
KPIs: develop (also with non-finance teams) and own automated and centralised view of financial KPIs relevant for internal stakeholders (holistic and team-based).
FX: optimise FX (internal and external) management to reduce exposure.
Contract management: manage all signed company contracts (documentation, filing, governance control and financial control) (outside HR)
Governance: responsible for all finance and statutory filing requirements including tax and audits and leading the company’s legal entity setup(s) in collaboration with local company secretaries.
External parties: coordinate and liaise with external parties including external auditors, due diligence partners during M&A activities, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities where necessary
Team development: oversee recruitment, training, mentoring and development of new finance team members.
Job requirements
Strategic thinker with a strong financial background, experience in the technology industry, and excellent leadership and communication skills
Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics or Business related subject with 10+ years related working experience
Excellent knowledge of accounting, IFRS and knowledge of local Singapore regulations are a must (CPA CA Qualifications preferred)
Finance Experience within multi company structure, and Startup environment with fundraising
Proven managerial skills, experience with leading a team
Hard working, adaptable person with ability to work independently and proactively
Structured problem solver ability with excellent analytical and organisational skills
